WOWCube originated in 2016 from an idea by Savva and Ilya Osipov, and its first functional prototype was built in 2017 using 3D-printed parts and Arduino components. The system evolved into a device made up of eight independent, synchronised modules, each with its own processor and three screens, for a total of 24 screens. Games are controlled physically by twisting the sections of the cube, tilting it, shaking it and touching its screens. It uses its own operating system, CubiOS, and allows games and applications to be installed through a connection with a mobile phone.
