TinyCircuits unveiled Thumby Color through Kickstarter in August 2024 as a much more powerful evolution of its tiny Thumby handheld. While retaining extraordinarily small dimensions — 51.6 × 30 × 11.6 mm — it uses the Raspberry Pi RP2350 microcontroller and a 0.85-inch colour TFT screen with a resolution of 128 × 128 and 16-bit colour. It adds eight buttons, an internal speaker and programmable vibration. Therefore, 2024 corresponds to its public unveiling and crowdfunding campaign; that date should not be confused with an already established conventional commercial distribution.
