Capcom launched CPS Changer in Japan in 1994 as a home system based directly on its CP System arcade hardware. Instead of adapting the games to a conventional console, it used large modules containing boards derived from the arcade versions, connected to a small interface intended for the television. The official controller was the Capcom Power Stick Fighter. Its catalogue was very small and consisted of almost direct conversions of CPS titles, including Street Fighter II' Turbo. The concept sought to bring an experience extremely close to Capcom’s arcade machines into the home.
