Sega SC-3000 was a Japanese home computer released in 1983 and the platform from which Sega developed the SG-1000. It shared the console’s architecture and game cartridges but added a keyboard and computer functions through BASIC cartridges. It also supported cassette tapes and could be expanded with the SF-7000, which incorporated a 3-inch floppy-disk drive.
