Sega Fave released ePICO in Japan on 10 October 2024 as an interactive educational device for children aged three and over. The system connects to a television and uses an ePen and an eMat as interfaces for learning and play activities. The initial “Taiken 100 Edition” includes its own software book with one hundred experiences aimed at discovering interests and abilities, while Sega Fave also marketed specific software books. ePICO revives the PICO name within a modern educational concept, but should not be confused with the Sega Pico hardware of the 1990s.
