OnLive Game System began shipping on 2 December 2010. Its small MicroConsole did not run games locally: they were processed on OnLive servers and the resulting video was streamed over the Internet to the television, while controller commands travelled in the opposite direction. The package included the MicroConsole, a wireless controller and an HDMI connection. It was one of the first commercial cloud-gaming proposals expressly designed to bring high-performance PC titles to a television without an equivalent traditional console.
