Released in 2016, Xbox One S was a major revision of Xbox One, with a design approximately 40% smaller and the power supply integrated into the console itself. It added Ultra HD Blu-ray movie playback, 4K video output and HDR support, although games continued to run essentially on the same Xbox One architecture. It could also be positioned vertically using a stand.
