Fisher-Price launched Pixter in 2000 as a portable electronic system aimed at children aged four and above. Its monochrome touch screen and stylus could be used to draw, apply stamps and effects, and access different activities. In addition to the built-in software, additional games and programs were sold on interchangeable cartridges, including entertainment titles and children’s licences. The platform later gave rise to other models such as Pixter Plus, Pixter 2.0 and Color Pixter.
