Soundic SD-05 forms part of the Soundic/PC-50 family of programmable consoles. In this type of hardware, the cartridge could incorporate a complete General Instrument circuit to generate graphics, sound and game rules, expanding the catalogue without designing an entirely new console for each set of games.
