Released in 2008, the PSP-3000 series was the second major revision of PlayStation Portable. It incorporated an improved screen with a wider colour gamut and better outdoor visibility, as well as a built-in microphone. It retained the UMD drive, distinguishing it from the later PSP Go, which would abandon physical media entirely.
