Released in Japan in 2013 as PlayStation Vita TV and later in the West as PlayStation TV, it transferred PS Vita hardware into a small device for television use. It could use physical Vita cards and downloadable games, as well as run compatible PSP and PlayStation titles through digital distribution. However, Vita games that depended on the touch screen, cameras or other controls specific to the handheld were not necessarily compatible.
