Released in Spain in 2018, WADE Box was the Spanish company PlayGiga’s proposal for bringing cloud gaming directly to the television. Games were neither run nor stored on the console, but instead on remote servers that sent the image by streaming. The WADE service initially offered around 50 games through a subscription, anticipating in Spain the later expansion of cloud gaming platforms.
