Panasonic FS-A1WX was one of the first MSX2+ computers and appeared in Japan on 21 October 1988. The MSX2+ standard evolved from MSX2 mainly by incorporating the Yamaha V9958 graphics processor, which added new graphic modes and hardware horizontal scrolling. The FS-A1WX included 64 KB of main RAM, 128 KB of VRAM, a 3.5-inch floppy-disk drive and MSX-MUSIC sound. Its Z80 could operate at the standard 3.58 MHz frequency or use an accelerated mode of approximately 5.37 MHz. It also included Panasonic software and support for kanji characters.
