PalmOne introduced Tungsten T5 in October 2004 as a professional PDA based on Palm OS Garnet. It incorporated a 320 × 480-pixel TFT screen, a 416 MHz Intel XScale processor and a large amount of non-volatile flash memory for the time. Part of the storage could be used through Drive Mode, making the device appear on a computer as a USB drive for carrying files. It also featured Bluetooth and an SD-card slot. The T5 reflects the final period of traditional Palm PDAs before smartphones progressively absorbed many of their functions.
