PAC-N1 was not an independent console but NEC’s Japanese module for Pioneer LaserActive. It turned the LaserActive into a system compatible with PC Engine and Super CD-ROM² and allowed the use of special LD-ROM² titles that combined LaserDisc video with graphics generated by PC Engine hardware.
