MSX turbo R ST, model Panasonic FS-A1ST, appeared in Japan in 1990 as the first machine in the final commercial evolution of the MSX standard. It introduced the R800 processor while retaining compatibility with earlier MSX software and included 256 KB of RAM. The ST did not include the integrated MIDI interface found in the later FS-A1GT.
