Coleco Gemini was a console released in 1983 as a system compatible with Atari 2600 cartridges. Its origins were linked to ColecoVision Expansion Module #1, whose Atari compatibility led Atari to sue Coleco for patent infringement. The two companies reached an out-of-court settlement in 1983 under which Coleco obtained a licence to Atari patents, allowing it to continue marketing both the module and the Gemini.
