Digi Casse was a Bandai handheld system based on interchangeable cartridges containing the LCD screen and the electronics specific to each game. The platform originated in Japan in 1984, and some units and games later reached Europe. Unlike a conventional ROM-cartridge handheld, changing the module also meant changing the game’s segmented display itself. Available documentation on European distribution is scarce, so this entry avoids assigning specific dates, distributors or markets that are not sufficiently documented.
