Amstrad 6128 Plus appeared in 1990 as a modernisation of the CPC 6128, retaining its 128 KB of RAM and 3-inch floppy-disk drive. It added hardware sprites, scrolling, a 4096-colour palette and cartridge support, sharing technology with the GX4000 console. It arrived when the Amiga and Atari ST were already well established, so the Plus range had a relatively short commercial life.
